The Show 3

From the back/tea room:

I took this the 3rd day, and the center table is looking rather disheveled, the yakishime teabowl, second from the right in the picture where they are all in a line, was the one teabowl that sold. The next one that got picked up and asked about the most was the tall tsutsu teabowl directly above.

  1. Really beautiful yunomi cups and bowls… all of them, both in this post and previous!

Greetings from Europe, keep up the great work~

  2. Michal,

Thank you for your kind words. I followed the links to your blog and am now enjoying your posts on drinking tea. Have you ever tasted any green tea from Ureshino?

  3. I'm glad you enjoy my blog!
Yes, but only once – last year, I had the opportunity to try Tamacha, new type of tea leaves of which were curled into small balls, similarly to Taiwanese oolongs. Very interesting and unique tea!
Though teas from Ureshino and Kyushu in general are my biggest "defect" in a world of Japanese green tea. I know that Ureshino is famous for its Tamaryokucha, so I hope to try some from 2010 harvest.

  4. I know a tea producer in Ureshino. I'll have to ask them about their Tamacha. Maybe I can send you a sample.

  5. Michal,
Please email me. You can find my email from the contact page of Karatsupots.com

I don't post it to comments because of the bots that frequent blogs.

If you email me directly, we can exchange addresses. I'll send you a sample.

    Mike
